Our Story

The Inn

Goldsmith’s Riverfront Inn has been in operation for more than 35 years, consistently offering comfortable, calm, spacious rooms that allow our guests to relax and feel at home right away. Our goal is to be a perfect home base for any Montana visit, whether it be to explore the outdoors, attend a work event, or visit family. Our vacation-rental style apartments are the perfect accommodations for a visit- be it for one night or three months!

The Inn features six classic and comfortable apartments, each with unique views, updated stylings, and modern amenities. Five of the apartments feature in-room laundry facilities and fully-stocked private kitchens. Our sixth room is a large suite with a King Bed and private porch overlooking the Clark Fork River.

The History

Goldsmith’s Riverfront Inn is a generational legacy, started by Dick and Jeana Goldsmith and continued today by their family.

In 1988, the building was slated for demolition to expand university parking. Amidst community outcry over the planned destruction of the historic and beautiful home, the Inn was saved by the Goldsmiths. In order to preserve the home, the Goldsmiths undertook an audacious plan to move the 4000 square foot house from the southern edge of campus to the northern banks of the Clark Fork River.

Your Hosts

Jordan and Courtney Goldsmith are proud today to be the caretakers of such a unique and wonderful part of Missoula. We make it our purpose to continue a beautiful legacy of warm hospitality to all who come to stay.
