Goldsmith's Riverfront Inn - Rock Creek Apartment- Apt. #6

Positive: Beautiful view, clean and a special house

My husband and myself have stayed at Goldsmith’s for years! I’m from MT, and my husband feels like he is. We taught at UM. So, when we are in town, Goldsmith’s on the river across from the university is our go-to. The setting, comfort and care shine through. We stayed in Room #6 and Room #2 between June 4 and June 8, 2025. For different reasons, both accommodations were cozy. We especially liked #6’s third floor sitting room and scenic balcony. Gazing out at the mountains as well as taking in the trains and people, we were relaxed and energized at the same time. Extremely clean and thoughtfully equipped! Lovely stays! Oh, you can bet on it…we’ll be back.

Great Location To Attend A Montana Grizzly Football Game! Positive: What a great place to stay! It's an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and being right across the river from the university, it's very convenient to the football stadium. This has become our home away from home when visiting Missoula!

Beats cookie cutter motel/hotel rooms for sure. Positive: Location facing the river and parking behind the building we’re great.

Super Positive: The view of the river was delightful. It was also really nice to have access to a full kitchen and washer and dryer.

We really enjoyed our brief overnight stop at the Inn. We didn’t utilize all our room had to offer (laundry, full kitchen etc.), but we thoroughly enjoyed the river view and sound of the river all night (with the windows open). We would definitely stay again on an adventure to Missoula.

We enjoyed our stay at this inn. We would choose it again when in Missoula. Positive: Great location - near lots of good eateries and easy access to the freeway. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Negative: This isn’t necessarily a negative for everyone, but you must be able to go up and down some stairs.

Fabulous location to explore Missoula Positive: Old historic house. Negative: The noise from the trains goes all night. Bring earplugs.

I really enjoyed staying on the third floor of this well-maintained inn, with a clear view down to the river from the living room. Ate a simple dinner with a bottle of bubbly on the front deck, looking at the river before sunset. Paved paths on both sides of the river, with several bridges to cross it. Terrific place to walk or run. The University of Montana is directly across the river from the inn.

A wonderful place to stay. Great location for walking all over town. Easy access from Rt 90. Courtney and staff very helpful.

Negative: We were on the 3rd floor but no elevator or help with luggage.

It was an average stay. Very clean, but would not stay here again. Positive: Very clean unit. River view from window . Fully stocked kitchen Washer/dryer with detergent . 4 pillows on bed Negative: Attic room that had a lot of sloped ceilings. Very active train 1 block from property. Balcony overlooked train, mountains far away. Homeless live across the river in tents. Road construction work off simple patio .

Serene Weekend Getaway Positive: Our room was the Rock Creek Apt #6. It was the whole top floor - converted attic space. It was exceptionally quiet and private. We travelled in mid June before it was too hot, so we were able to turn off the a/c units and open the windows to enjoy the sounds of the river outside. It certainly did not feel like we were in a city at all. The beautiful walking bridge was all lit up at night and was visible from the living area windows making it even more magical. My only caution would be that if you or your travelling companion are on the taller side you may find the sloped ceilings to be a bit of a challenge. My husband and I are on the shorter side, so we found it to be perfectly cosy.

Positive: This was in the perfect location. Our beautiful 'alartment' (#5) was like having our own home! Negative: Street Construction across the street....but of course goldsmiths could do nothing about that. (And at least they did not start until after 8am).

Goldsmith’s apt #6 is third floor so you get great views of river and campus. This is a well appointed apartment with full kitchen. Conveniently located just across river from UM and a buncha of other stuff, this is a good quiet place to stay.

One of the best stays I have had in a new place. Positive: Location, roominess of attic, porch, and view of the lake, Instructions were clear and excellent suggestions for meals and sightseeing. Probably one of the best stays I have had. Negative: N/A

Negative: We wish we would have met our hosts. Also from the description of a BandB we expected a breakfast.

Positive: The views were incredible and the room had a a lot of space Negative: Smaller bed. We are larger people so prefer a king bed but this is very minor.

A great spot in Missoula Positive: The location is ideal for a visit to Missoula. The university is just across the river on a footbridge, and the downtown restaurants and cafes are about a 5-10 minute walk. The room is cozy and warm. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare a meal for a college kid and his friend. Negative: Nothing. I love this place and plan to return.

Positive: It is in a great location, an easy walk to town, right across the river from the university. It also has a well stocked kitchen. The owners are very responsive if you need anything.

We LOVE Goldsmith's Inn! We have stayed there many times and always feel at home and relaxed. The amenities are great, the apartment has everything you need for a week or a week end. Courtney and Jordan are friendly and keep the inn in amazing shape. It is extremely clean and well furnished. Can't say enough good about this place!

Awesome stay Positive: Everything! Excellent location within easy walking distance of the core of Missoula or of the university across the river. Clean and well-stocked everything needed. Comfortable. Loved having access to outside spaces. I didn’t meet the hosts but their communication was exceptional. Negative: There was nothing I didn’t like. I look forward to returning.

Positive: The location is excellent. The kitchen is very nice. Negative: I only stayed one night and thought it was too expensive.

We loved Jordan and Courtney’s Rock Creek Apartment. Very clean, exactly as promised, super easy parking and access, and an easy walk to and from the U of M campus. The Clark Fork River and lighted bridge to campus is directly outside the B&B making for very scenic views. Jordan and Courtney were very responsive in communicating. Highly recommend!

The setting is perfect and the accommodations are spot on! The unit we stay in has plenty of room and is just what we enjoy for a long week end. Jordan and Courtney do a great job of making sure you have everything you need and that your unit is comfortable.

I stayed for an extended period of time this summer in the third floor walk up and everything was absolutely amazing here! Attention is given to the smallest detail; the hosts are wonderful and ensure a fabulous stay! Look no further! THIS is the place…bright kitchen, amazing shower, river views, comfy bed-can’t say enough about it! A+

I enjoyed my stay at this comfortable 1 BR unit near the Missoula downtown core. Two A/C window units helps keep the space comfortable on the warm days. Lots of windows and sky lights provide lots of natural light. I found the bed to be super comfortable and the bathroom included everything I needed, including large bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Full kitchen is available for those who want to cook. The Albertson's grocery store is a block away for supplies. Close enough to downtown to leave the car parked and walk to restaurants, breweries and bars. It took me about 15 minutes to casually walk downtown. I will recommend this to friends who want to stay near downtown and hope to be back again.

This spot and apartment is a special treat. Right be the river trail and perfect access to UM, downtown and a bunch of hiking trails. Apartment has everything you need and is really comfortable with great views of Mount Jumbo on one side and Mount Sentinel and the Clark Fork River on the other. Close to train and some noise from that but adds to the Charme! Building is a beautiful old Victorian and you can hear other guests but this apartment is on the top floor and mostly quiet. Highly recommend it and hosts were wonderful to communicate with and accommodating to my parents needs.
