Goldsmith's Riverfront Inn - Bitterroot Apartment #5

What a great place. View of the river was spectacular, the location is ideal, and the apartment was perfectly appointed! The hosts were exceptionally responsive. We will definitely return!

We loved our stay at Goldsmith. The location is fantastic to walk to campus or downtown shops/restaurants. A grocery store is right next door should you wan to cook. The apartment was well equipped, clean and beds were comfortable. And the hosts were easy to work with and great at communicating! Recommended!!

Goldsmiths Inn was amazing. The Bitterroot Apartment was fully stocked with coffee and all the amenities one could possibly need. We had two outdoor patios and the sound of the river at night was enchanting. Great location too, we could walk downtown in ten minutes. Best value in Missoula!

This is our third time staying at Goldsmiths and, once again, it did not disappoint! Our second time staying in #5, our favorite room. It’s spacious, quiet, nicely appointed and the bed is SO comfortable! Bedroom has a window that overlooks the river and it was warm enough during our stay to leave the window open at night so we could be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the river. Apt has a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a nice deck and a washer/dryer (which came in handy for us.) The Inn is very close to the famous “M” hike, and about a 1/2 mile walk to the downtown area where there are tons of great restaurants and bars! We cannot say enough good things about Goldsmiths! It’s the only place we stay when we come through Missoula. Highly recommend!

What a amazing few days. After moving to AZ 5 1/2 years ago, I’ve missed Missoula everyday. This visit was more than I could have imagined and hoped for. The view was incredible, the location was perfect, the space was warm and inviting. Hosts were fabulous, offering all the comforts of home. Thank you so much for the memories. We will definitely be back!!

This riverfront was the best stay out of my week-long trip. My family and I traveled for two nights in Missoula, and this space was better than the description. It was spotless, affordable, and fantastic, and all around, the attractions were great. The views were also a 12/10! Thanks to the responsive team, they could accommodate our check-in an hour early before the set time.

This was an awesome place. The place is charming and in a great neighborhood, super close to U of M. Felt super safe walking to restaurants, downtown and the river was an amazing plus. The house is of one of the most well-appointed rentals we have ever stayed in. Jordan and Courtney have added so may details that make this feel super homey and comfortable. The bed is one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. This is a great deal for the price. Having 2 bathrooms was also super convenient had we had an additional person staying with us. Cannot say enough good things about this rental.

Awesome place. Sat on the balcony watching the river—fly fishers and boaters. Walked across the river to campus. Strolled downtown to dinner both nights.

Walk to downtown and Grizzly stadium from clean, spacious, comfortable riverfront rooms; perfection! Positive: What a delightful place to stay within a few minutes walk of downtown shops and restaurants, as well as the stadium for a Grizzlies football game! So much better than a hotel! Our apartment was huge and had everything we needed and then some. Outdoor patios were perfect to watch people tubing down the river and catch some sunny rays. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen large and well stocked. We will most definitely be returning next year when we come back to Missoula to visit our son. Negative: We were completely satisfied with everything during our stay.

The place is very nice and the location is great. The host are very responsive and helpful.

This apartment was perfect for us. The kitchen was set up well and had all of the needed utensils and items we needed. Having 2 bathrooms was wonderful, as well as the 2 small balconies/decks. Everything was very clean. The location is perfect for visiting the U, as well as downtown, and even fishing on the river. I would highly recommend this rental and will likely use it again.

Love older homes. This one was in great condition. Loved the stained glass window.

Hands down this is one of the best spots I’ve ever stayed in. The space and the relaxation of the home coupled with the view of the river met my expectations and exceeded them tenfold. This place is so charming and I am happy I splurged as I will not easily forget my time, my first time in Montana, and a much needed get away for me. Talk about first impressions! If it were up to me I would’ve stayed longer, and I would love to visit again in the future. I highly recommend this lovely spot. Thanks Jordan and Courtney 🙂

Gorgeous views, spacious rooms, oh so comfy beds and sheets. Fully stocked in the kitchen and an excellent little balcony overlooking the river! The trails down to the river were super fun, such a good location, will definitely stay again!!

Beauty, comfort, location and serenity. Best place on entire trip. We want to go back. Positive: The location on the Clark Fork river with a little balcony was beautiful. The access to multiple walking trails was superb. The aesthetics of the historical decor was top notch. It also was very comfortable. Negative: It truly was perfect.

Our family stayed in several rooms and really enjoyed our week here. The rooms are very pleasant, spacious, and warm or cool depending on the weather. It is quiet aside from the occasional train horn and quite a few amenities that made it feel more like a small apartment versus hotel. The hosts are very hands on and accommodating - available for any needs. I highly recommend!

We have stayed at the Goldsmith many times over the last few years. It is perfect every single time we stay. This is our favorite place in Missoula… Convenient to walk to the stadium or to walk to downtown. Jordan and Courtney have such a great space in all their units. Very comfortable very warm all the necessities!

We had my stepson and his girlfriend with us this weekend, and they loved their stay at the Goldsmith also. We had been raving about the place and it didn’t disappoint for them. Our most favorite place to stay when we are in town.

The accommodations were wonderful! Very clean...kitchen had everything we needed. Everything worked well. It was a wonderful week and we look forward to coming back!

Location is great next to the river and the brief walk to the university campus. Walkable to downtown. Spacious rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and we could have easily cooked if we had time to do so. Washer and dryer was a great bonus. Would be comfortable for a long stay.

As a former Missoulian, I was always intrigued by Goldsmith's. It did not disappoint. The house is very comfortable and the apartment is well-equipped. The location can't be beat. I left my car parked and biked everywhere including the university, the Hip Strip, downtown, and along the Clark Fork River. The view and sound of the river in the evening was peaceful. I even saw the fireworks at the ballpark from my balcony.

We only got to stay at this place for one night but it was charming and had a beautiful view of the river. It was very clean and the water pressure in the shower was amazing.

Wonderful space. We enjoyed the river walk and walked to the downtown shops and restaurants several times, which are about 1/2 mile away. Unless there is a special event, parking was easy to find and ran about $1/hour. We will definitely stay again.

Delightful Positive: The location was superb, right by the beautiful river with the birds singing, views of the hillside and evergreen trees.

Spacious, beautiful riverside view, clean, excellent helpful hosts. Positive: 2 balconies one facing river side and other town. Wonderful places to sit on first level outside porch facing river. Modern and clean household equipment. Very happy to have washer and dryer in facility after lengthy road travels. Courtney and Jordan were very helpful with our requests, we did not feel we were a burden to them. Negative: When we came into apartment # 5 it was roomy and beautiful and cozy but we smelled an odor like fast food. We thought someone had been enjoying McDonald’s in the place. The smell continued for a good while and seemed to be coming from the air conditioner near the kitchen. Both air conditioners worked well but were noisy and older.

We absolutely loved everything about this apartment overlooking the river. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great kitchen appliances , tools and utensils. Enjoyed having a washer and dryer as we were on a month long road-trip. The bed was super comfy and we loved the 680 count sheets. We stayed in Apt #5 Bitterroot, on the 2nd floor and had two balcony’s for outside dining. Wish we would have planned to stay longer.

Loved the feel and location Positive: Great location on the river. Fun, nostalgic house. The apartment had everything needed for a longer stay. We were just there one night. Negative: The air conditioning units: the bedroom unit worked well, but was super noisy. The LR air conditioner pushed air, but did not seem to cool. A screened window for night sleeping would be great.

I was in Apartment 5 and my close friends were in Apartment 4. We really enjoyed the property as well as the location. It's an easy stroll into downtown.

We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was easy to find and check in was effortless. It was spacious and we were able to spread out and feel very comfortable for our week long stay. The apartment had everything we could need and it was spotless upon arrival (I am quite OCD and a bit germophobic, so that is saying a lot). The location was amazing! We spent every morning on the balcony with our coffee listening to and watching the river. Awesome trails and walking paths nearby. We recommend hiking up to the “M” 😊. Would definitely love to stay here again!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time here - the apartment was fantastic and had everything that we needed and much more. The pictures on the website were great but the reality was even better. The location was perfect - easy walking to downtown and the university. Courtney was a superb hostess. I can't wait to return.

Clean, good location and great to be next to the river

This is my favorite place to stay in Missoula. Have been away for a year and it is even more cozy this trip. You can tell they put their heart and soul into this beautiful property. It is so peaceful to sit outside and listen to the river. Amenities include large and newer washer/dryer, fridge and dishwasher. Interior of building is stunning as is outside. Cannot recommend this place enough. it is heavenly.

Very nice Positive: Very comfortable. Well appointed. Nicely decorated. Negative: Train whistles and loud garbage trucks disturbed what should be a peaceful setting.

The place was in a great location especially for walking. It was also very clean and neat. One of the issues I had was that it was just a block from the train crossing, and the first night the train whistle blew at least every half hour which for a light sleeper like me was not conducive for a good night’s rest. Also, the second night the neighbor’s 2 dogs were out in the back yard until 2 am barking incessantly. The upstairs guest was quite noisy way past quiet time. The host did address the neighbor’s dogs and upstairs guest so we were able to get some sleep our last night of the 3 nights.
